Back-to-school campaign
At Tuelimishe Vijana, our Back-to-School Program is dedicated to ensuring that all children — especially girls and teen mothers — have the opportunity to return to school and continue their education. We work closely with communities, parents, and schools to address the barriers that keep children out of the classroom, such as poverty, stigma, and lack of support.
Through mentorship, awareness campaigns, and targeted empowerment initiatives, we’re helping learners re-enroll, stay in school, and thrive. Education is a right — not a privilege — and through this program, we are committed to making that right a reality for every child.
Keep a girl in school
Through our Keep a Girl in School initiative, Tuelimishe Vijana is committed to improving school retention among girls by addressing one of the key barriers they face: menstrual health.
Every month, we visit five partner schools to empower girls with knowledge, mentorship, and life skills that encourage them to stay in school. We also provide essential menstrual hygiene products, ensuring that no girl misses class because of her period. This consistent support helps build confidence, promotes dignity, and ensures that girls have equal opportunities to succeed in their education.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT
At TUVI, we recognize the importance of equipping children and young people with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary for meaningful employment and economic empowerment. Our Skill Development Program focuses on providing vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship to empower individuals to thrive in the job market.
Enviromental Justice
We recognize that young people are key to securing a just and sustainable future. Our environmental justice program empowers youth to take action against climate change and environmental degradation through education, advocacy and community engagement.
We work with schools to revive and support environmental clubs, train young climate champions and advocate for policies that promote environmental stability and justice. By amplifying youth voices and building local capacity, we are shaping a generation that not only understands climate crisis- but is ready to lead change.
